Adapting EIP-5564 for Solana

Secp256k1 and View Tags in Solana

• SECP256k1: The elliptic curve used by Ethereum, defined by the equation y2=x3+7y^2 = x^3 + 7.

• View Tags: A performance optimization for efficiently discarding irrelevant transactions.

  • One-byte tag is extracted from a hashed ephemeral secret, narrowing down which transactions belong to a user.

  • Although it reduces the privacy margin from 128 bits to about 124 bits, it does not compromise the security of address generation.
